Stephen Hawkes, managing director - international advisory at Marsh Captive Solutions, has announced that he is retiring at the end of this year.
In a statement released in LinkedIn he said: “After a long career in this fantastic industry I retire at the end of this year. I have had the privilege to work with many phenomenal people who have enriched my life in many different ways. I wish you all, the very best in your future adventures and hope that if our paths cross in the future we can reminisce over a relaxing drink of some kind.”

In 1993 he was a consultant at Murray Lawrence Insurance Management for less than a year, which he described as a ‘brief sojourn’ into Lloyd's to assist in the creation of a new syndicate run-off business.
Prior to that he was a consultant at English & American from 1988 to 1993, where, firstly in Guernsey and then London, he assisted in companies creating and effectively running captive insurance companies in both onshore and offshore locations.
