Pille adds specialties to chief underwriter role

MSIG Insurance Europe has appointed Michael Pille to the post of chief underwriter casualty & specialties, effective immediately.

Pille was previously chief underwriter casualty, a position he had held since joining the company in Germany in July 2021.

Prior to joining MSIG Insurance Europe Pille was at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty insurance, first as senior underwriter – liability when he joined the company in 2017 and later as head of healthcare from March 2020 to June 2021.

Pille spent seven years at AXA Corporate Solutions from July 2009 to December 2016, first assistant underwriter liability, then junior underwriter liability and then underwriter liability.
