Russell taps industry veteran Broughton to advance risk strategy offering
Russell, a specialty risk intelligence company, has appointed David Broughton, former head of insurable risk and captive director at Centrica as corporate consultant and head of Connected Risk Group.
Broughton is an experienced leader in the corporate world with a breadth of experience across different industry sectors specialising in risk management and mitigation, the company said. At Russell he will build on his 8-year role and work as chair of the Russell Connected Risk Group to further its corporate members’ aims of developing a market to enhance insurance coverage and maximise captive benefit.
Suki Basi, Russell Managing Director said: “I am delighted to welcome David on board. Our clients and corporate partners will benefit from his 40 years of experience in setting strategy through to operational delivery, which has been combined with a passion for developing new and innovative risk management and insurance solutions.
“He joins us at a pivotal moment in our business, following a corporate re-brand and positioning exercise that has seen us evolve into a human intelligence and data analytics company serving the needs of the world’s leading (re)insurance and corporate entities.”
Broughton commented: “I am excited to continue my work with Suki and the Russell team, helping corporates to build better risk solutions. Corporates are crying out for solutions that match their risk profile, which is not always currently available in the market.
“We will be hosting an exclusive event being attended by the largest (re)insurance companies and corporates on the 3rd of June which will further our ambitions in this regard.”
