Crum & Forster names Nicole Bennett as CEO of Pethealth
Crum & Forster (C&F) Accident & Health has appointed Nicole Bennett as chief executive officer of Pethealth, which it is currently in the process of acquiring in a deal that is expected to close by the end of Q4 2020.
Bennett brings 27 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry, most recently as C&F’s chief of staff. In that role she was engaged in strategy and execution related to growth and profitability objectives across underwriting, production, analytics, innovation, technology, talent and leadership development and communication.
She is also the senior executive leader of the digital partners unit within C&F, which focuses on insuretech distribution. She relinquished her role as chief of staff to head up Pethealth operations but retains oversight of C&F's digital partners.
Bennett reports to Gary McGeddy, president of C&F Accident & Health, who said the appointment positions the company for synergies within its growing pet insurance ecosystem.
C&F is a national property and casualty insurance company wholly owned by Fairfax Financial Holdings. Since 2000 its accident and health division has offered specialty re/insurance products, including medical stop loss, pet, travel and other voluntary and affinity benefits.
In 2019, following seven years of offering products in the captive insurance space, it scaled to include international product capabilities through its wholly owned offshore captive facility, C&F Segregated Portfolio Company, which is based in Cayman Islands.
