eMaxx names former Governor Mary Fallin-Christensen of Oklahoma to its board
Former Governor Mary Fallin-Christensen of Oklahoma has been appointed to the board of directors of eMaxx, the sponsor of eCaptiv, a Vermont domiciled captive reinsurance company that provides protected cells reinsurance support.
Fallin-Christensen was elected as the first female governor of Oklahoma in January 2011 and served two terms. Her priorities included job growth and retention, government modernisation and streamlining and education reform.
She served two terms in the Oklahoma House before becoming the first woman to be elected lieutenant governor of Oklahoma in 1994, where she focused her attention on issues affecting job creation and economic development. In 2006, she was elected to the US Congress where she served on committees for small business, transportation, infrastructure, natural resources and armed services.
eMaxx’s programmes are focused on the energy industry and emergency roadside assistance providers that are affiliated with AAA. eMaxx has created proprietary technology platforms for Members of its alternative risk solutions and is currently rebuilding the captive member portals to provide a more simplified and streamlined user experience, to drive down frictional cost.
James Townsend, chairman of the eMaxx board of directors and chief executive officer of Townsend Energy, said: “Energy customers need a true partner in the insurance industry especially with potential industry changes and eMaxx is here to serve the industry.”
Fallin-Christensen said eMaxx’s “support of the energy and transportation industries though technology, insurance and risk management is an important component for economic growth in the US.”
