ICCIE invites applications for its Harry House and VCIA scholarships
The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) has invited applications for the Harry House Captive Insurance Scholarship (HHCIS) and the VCIA Distinguished Scholar Award.
ICCIE awards one full scholarship and one course scholarship per year under the HHCIS programme, for course work leading to an Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation. HHCIS is sponsored by HAI Group of Cheshire, Connecticut.
The scholarships are reserved for minority students enrolled in an actuarial or risk management programme at an accredited college or university. The recipients will be chosen based on scholastic excellence and good standing in the university community.
The full scholarship recipient can attend all required courses free of charge as long as he or she passes each course. The modular scholarship recipient can attend one of ICCIE's core courses for free.
Applications must be received by June 30, 2021.
Meanwhile, ICCIE will also award one full scholarship per year to a member of Vermont Captive Insurance Association (VCIA). A panel of three industry participants will be appointed by ICCIE to review the applications and make the selection. The recipient will be permitted to attend all required courses, free of charge.
Applicants must be employed by a member company of VCIA, and provide two letters of reference citing his or her achievements in, or commitment to, the captive insurance profession. Applicants must also cite evidence of involvement in his or her community.
