Saito named interim Hawaii captive insurance administrator
As expected, Sanford Saito has been appointed interim Hawaii captive insurance administrator following the resignation of George Sumner. Holly Osumi will assume Saito’s role as chief captive insurance examiner until a permanent captive insurance administrator is named.
Hawaii insurance commissioner Gordon Ito said: “Holly and Sanford have more than nine years of experience with the Captive Insurance Branch. Under their leadership, I expect a seamless transition and for Hawaii to continue to foster and maintain a prudent regulatory environment for our captive insurers.”
