SIIA opens registration for June forum

The Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA) has announced the programme and opened registration for its Corporate Growth Forum, scheduled for June 9-10 in a new location – Charleston, South Carolina.

The SIIA said that this industry event will help companies active in the self-insurance marketplace better understand common growth strategies made possible by corporate financial transactions (mergers, acquisitions, capitalisations, etc.), as well as highlight marketplace developments creating growth opportunities for properly well-positioned companies.

“In addition to the exciting new location, SIIA is also pleased to highlight some impactful updates to our first day of programming (June 9),” SIIA said in a statement. “First, for our sponsoring private equity investors, we’ve “raised the bar” and revised the format to optimise investor/company networking with larger companies. Second, and recognizing that CGF attendees vary in their stage of growth, we have created a new track focused exclusively on value-add investment from venture capital (VC).”

This year’s program includes a three-hour, deep dive educational session focused on what companies need to know when partnering with venture capital firms. The presenters will represent a group of VC firms that invest specifically in the self-insurance space.

According to SIIA this is ideal for founders/chief executives who are typically looking for a minority investment to accelerate the growth of their companies, and at the same time gain the value-added support that comes from working with experienced investors.

Companies with a certain EBITDA track record are invited to take part in a curated, three-hour networking session. The event will feature “speed-dating” sessions with 15+ hand-picked, invite-only private equity firms/investment banks focused on the self-insurance marketplace.

The main day of the program – June 10 – will feature educational content and networking functions of interest to all attendees.

SIIA urges prospective attendees to sign up before March 14th to take advantage of discounted registration fees and to secure a hotel room.
