Verisk rebrands extreme events division
Verisk has announced that its Extreme Event Solutions division has been rebranded to Catastrophe & Risk Solutions, a name that Verisk says reflects both its established expertise and its vision to advance global resilience.
“We’ll deliver as we always have, by leading in the creation of risk intelligence that transforms how organisations prepare for, respond to, and recover from the world's most severe threats,” said Robert Newbold, president, Catastrophe & Risk Solutions, in a statement.
“While our name is new, everything you value about our partnership remains unchanged. You will continue working with the same industry-leading experts you trust, receiving the same quality insights you depend on, supported by the same rigorous methodologies and commitment to accuracy that have defined our relationship. Your trusted contacts, established workflows, and our dedication to scientific integrity and client partnership all remain intact.”
According to Newbold as catastrophic events become more frequent and severe, organisations need partners with proven expertise and singular focus. The new name eliminates ambiguity about the division’s core strengths, he said: pioneering catastrophe modelling expertise, precise risk intelligence, and actionable insights that help clients prepare for, model, and mitigate the risks that matter most to their business continuity.
“This evolution honours our legacy in catastrophe modelling while positioning us to lead the next era of risk intelligence,” he said. “Our specialised identity within Verisk enables us to deliver deeper insights and invest more meaningfully in the latest technologies. As we have for decades, we will continue setting industry standards and defining the future of catastrophic risk management.”
