Artex appoints new captive management SVP

Two executives have been appointed to senior positions at Artex Risk Solutions.

Beth Jacobsen (pictured right) has been appointed senior vice president - captive management, North America at Artex Risk Solutions, effective immediately. 

She was previously captive director at the firm from April 2021 to January 2024, based in Itasca, Illinois. She joined the company in March 2013 as assistant captive director.

Prior to that she was an account executive at Arthur J. Gallagher from September 2007 to March 2013.

In addition, Devin O'Brien (pictured left) has been appointed executive vice president - finance & operations, North America at Artex Risk Solutions.

In a statement on LinkedIn O’Brien said that he was “very excited to have a mandate to work with all our talented teams in North America, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda as we refine our operations, drive meaningful change and implement operating efficiencies across the business. We've hit the ground running in 2024, let's see where it takes us!”

O’Brien was previously vice president - financial management group captives, North America at Artex from April 2021 to January 2024 in Illinois. He was appointed group captive financial manager in December 2019.

Prior to that he was a client services manager at Artex Risk Solutions in the Cayman Islands from August 2016 to August 2019.
