Crowe appoints new insurance tax partner for captives

Crowe has appointed Kristen Lawler (pictured) to the post of insurance tax partner. 

The company said that Lawler will support the firm’s captive insurance practice and use her more than 13 years of experience working with life, property and casualty, health, reinsurance, and captive insurance companies to serve Crowe clients. 

In a statement on LinkedIn Lawler said: “I’m grateful for the warm welcome from the Crowe team! It’s exciting to join a firm that’s so dedicated to serving our clients with excellence. Please reach out if you’d like to learn how Crowe can help your organisation.”

Lawler was a tax senior manager at Deloitte Tax from October 2011 to February 2025 in the greater New York City area, where she specialised in insurance tax, including life, health, property & casualty and captive insurance.

Before that she was a trained tax volunteer at the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program from 2009 to 2011 and also held a number of internships.
