Captive International partners with ECIROA on captive survey

Captive International, in partnership with the European Captive Insurance and Reinsurance Owner's Association (ECIROA), is conducting a survey of captive owners and managers – and we need your participation.

We’re asking Europe-based captive owners and managers, including risk managers and captive brokers closely involved in the management of one or more captives, about how captives use, manage, and value independent non-executive directors (INEDs), meaning non-employees or non-former employees of the insured group or from your service providers.

In an environment where transparency and scrutiny are more pertinent than ever for captives, we want to get a better understanding of how captives use these individuals, how this has changed – and how their role has and is changing as regulations and the expectations of stakeholders change.

To help us do the best job possible, we are inviting you to also pass this survey on to your colleagues and peers who have a direct involvement in the decision-making around one or more captives as an owner, manager, risk manager, or broker to offer an informed perspective on this issue.

Those responding to this survey are asked to identify themselves in the event that further information is required, but the nominators’ identities will otherwise remain confidential.

The results of this survey will be unveiled at the European Captive Forum 2023 on November 8-9 in Luxembourg, and a more in-depth report will follow, published by Captive International.

The deadline for completing the survey is October 23, 2023.
