Hylant makes two hires in global captive solutions practice
Hylant has hired Theresa Carpenter and Amit Hapani to work in its global captive solutions practice.
Carpenter brings 16 years of experience to her position as senior captive consultant and manager and works with captive owners to model and evaluate captive structures, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Hapani joins as a chartered accountant and has a background in financial accounting, auditing and strategic planning.
The hires mean Hylant’s global captive solutions practice has tripled in size in the 12 months since Towle joined the company in September 2019. It has also rebranded and experienced more organic growth, which it attributes in part to the global epidemic.
Anne Marie Towle, Hylant’s global captive solutions leader, said: “Hylant intends to be a leader in the captive solutions space, and the additions of Theresa and Amit will aid our success on that front.”
Towle pointed to the growing opportunities for captive insurance in the hardening market. “Though a captive has always been a valuable strategy, COVID-19 has shown many businesses the opportunities a captive presents, so demand is increasing,” she explained. “We are meeting that increased demand by bringing on the best talent.”
